What is RSS?

An RSS web feed is a type of XML that delivers a stream of headlines from our news web-sites direct to your computer, which are updated every time new stories are added. You can click on the headlines to open each story.

To use this service you will need an RSS reader, of which there are many available online. Some are very simple and free, others are more complicated and have to be purchased. Here is a selection:

Many web browsers are now starting to incorporate RSS feed readers into their Favorite or Bookmark features, allowing you to subscribe to an RSS feed and then read it directly from your browser’s Bookmarks.

The popular web browser (available as free download) offers this facility through its “Live Bookmarks” feature.

Once you have selected and installed your reader, click on the RSS link below and copy the web address of the page that loads into the "created new feeds" section of your reader or Firefox browser.
