Chinese to slash printing and dyeing facilities |

Zhejiang - Shaoxing County, renowned as a major textile hub in Eastern China, is to reduce its annual textile printing
and dyeing capacity by 710 million metres before mid-September, as part of a
wider plan to reduce energy usage and cut emissions.
The reduction accounts for around 5% of the
current capacity of the county, which is located in the south of the Yangtze
Delta in China's Zhejiang Province.

Equity firm buys stake in Brazil hosiery operation |

Brasilia –Private equity firm Carlyle Group is taking advantage of the
growing lingerie and hosiery market in Brazil with the purchase of a
majority stake in lingerie-manufacturer Scalina.
The US$123 million deal will see the
US-based group acquire a 51% stake in Scalina, which makes hosiery, socks and
lingerie under the TriFil and Scala brands.

Paris - Hyosung will launch creora highclo, its new product for swimwear collections, at this week’s Interfiliere exhibition in Paris.
Highclo is engineered from the high power
performance family of creora products to provide higher modulus with
